Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

Peace and All Good!

The Northeast Region of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans
will gather for a Day of Reflection on Saturday, December 3, 2011.

Juniper is hosting us in his home at:

103 Pilling Street #3, Brooklyn, NY 11027.

He will provide pumpkin and black bean soup and bread.
Others are invited to bring offerings to share as well.

Take the subway from Penn (A, C, E train) downtown to 14th Street
or from Grand Central (4,5,6) downtown to 14th Street. (about an hour from GC)
From 14th Street, take the L train to Bushwick Aberdeen Station.
Come out of the station, turn right, walk 3 1/2 blocks to Pilling Street.
Turn right.  Walk 3/4 of the way down the block.  103 is on the left.
Ring the bottom bell.  Bell #3.

The Program has been prepared by postulants Greg Williams and Vera Dumont.
Schedule is as follows:

Noon: Introductions
Noon Prayer

12:30: Lunch

1:30:  Meditation on Clare and Poverty

1:45:  Why Are We Here?
What draws us to the Franciscan Way?

3:00:  Break

3:15:  Our Leading as a Northeast Region....

[We may move some of the discussion to occur during lunch]

Closing: Shared Communion

At the close of our Gathering, at 4:30, we are invited to
join with neighbors for a Tea at the Biko Center (a few blocks away).
The Biko Center is a Neighborhood Cultural Center.
Owusu can give us more information.
I do know there will be much good music provided.
The Tea runs from 4:30 -- 7:30.

Bruce and I plan to go to the Tea.  As do Juniper and Owusu.
I expect we will head back to CT after it is over as I have to
work early the next morning.  If others are interested in
further evening activities, contact Greg at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

I know this invite is going out to some at the very far reaches of our Region
and also to some who have already said they can't come.
If you are unable to join us, do know you are loved and are in our hearts.
And do pray for us.

David Luke and Anjelika, if you know of Inquirers in the area, please feel free to pass this on to them.

I think, at this point, those definitely coming are:
Juniper, Luis, Richard, Lorraine, Vera, Greg, Bruce and Shoshanah.
Hopefully Owusu and Rene and hopefully others of you can make it as well.

In thanksgiving with love and prayers for you all.....   ~ shoshanah
