The Christian Vedgatarian Asscoiation wants to use the Feast of Saint Francis as a time to pray for the plight of animals in our world-
Please pray for the forgotten and abandoned animals of the world.
Please pray for animals victimized by hurricanes and other adverse weather.
Please pray for endangered, threatened, and declining species.
Please pray for animals afflicted by plagues such as the Chronic Wasting Disease, which is devasting the deer and elk.
Please pray for animals which are slaghtered and which we used for food.
Please pray for forgiveness for our sins against the animal world.

My father has parkinson's. He recently moved from his home of 45 yrs in Florida to an apt in Kentucky close to my home and work. It is a very difficult adjustment for him. He has been stripped of EVERYTHING and I am the only care giver. All of this has put a great deal of stress on my own community life because I am "never home" and sometimes cranky. pride,envy,greed,hurts,selfrighteousness,fear, be one with others,be freed from strong conscience,enjoy
fellwship,&let go of everything & be led and filled by Spirit, see the
truth clearly, and my mind & heart to be completely changed. pray that
i would just receive Christ's love and forgiveness and stop trying to
pay for my own sins and that i let go of everything and receive every
thing God has for me, & he move strongly in my life. pray for my family
for revival, my brother, sister, mom and dad; that we all see God's love
for us, and that He move strongly in us, because we are going through
much struggle. pray that my mom would trust in God and stop worrying,
that my brother would be healed of all his hurts and be moved by the
Spirit
and used by God and go to church and lose pride, and my sister for
accepting Christ's love and for my dad that he too would let go of his
hurts and forgive and accept and understand God's love and lose his spirit
of anger. pray also for tony yang, my friend, a college student. pray
that we all keep ourselves steady in the Lord, and pray that especially
I and my family will be willing to forgive others and will continue to
do so as we understand God's forgivenss, to let the spirit of
forgiveness come and we have understanding, so we dont have to put ourselves in

I need prayers for me being alone will be finished. I do not have a car, and I am not employed. I am seeking employment, and I feel like I have been left in the wilderness for so long now, over 4 years. I have been praying for divine intervention about giving me employment, and transporation. I am alone in the house all day with not place to go and I am not able to really go anyplace because of no transporation. Please pray and stand in agreement with me as I ask in Jesus's most Holy name for the miracle conversion of Martha McCormack, the healing of her and John's marriage and family and the stopping of her divorce which is set for August 25th.
Lord, I bind Martha's mind to the mind of Christ.
I bind Martha and John's marriage to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
I bind her emotions to the emotions of Christ.
I bind her will to the will of Christ.
I bind her thoughts to the thoughts of Christ.
I bind her intent to the intent of Christ.
Lord, I ask that you go forth and do the work in Martha's heart that only you can do. We can't go against a person's strong will, but Lord we can pray that Martha's will be conformed to the will of Christ. Please pray for me when I go to the Girard conference this summer and present a paper based on my book. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to speak through me as I do my presentation. Pray for me to be well-received by the participants, and to engage in edifying diologue and networking. Please bless my friend Allen Johnson, and our relationship together as we meet. Please pray for this expereince to be a possitive edifying expereince for me. Please also pray for me to be centered, focused, adaquately spiritually grounded, available, well rested, empowered, and be at peace before going there, as well as receiving guidence. I had rather extensive surgery for breast cancer in January and have been doing quite well since then (thank you God!). I am to have additional related surgery tomorrow and am feeling a little nervous, even though it's less-involved than last time. This is a surprise because I was so calm about the surgeries in Dec. & Jan. -- likely because I prepared myself with lots of meditation & prayer. This one just seems to have sprung up on me suddenly, and work commitments won't leave me any quiet time until late tonight. Your prayers last time were most helpful. I suppose what I seek is a return of an abiding sense of peace. Thank you. Many blessings to you.

Please pray for funding, if it be God's will, to attend Chapter/Convacation this June. I desperately want to go-the OEF is the first Franciscan door to open-up for me in my entire lifetime, and Francis is so dear to my heart. And, right now, I am in a finacial crisis, for I am running low on my inherence money. Being a Franciscan is a dream for me-can you please pray for God or the Order to help find a way to scrap together funding for me to attend, and subsequent years following while I am in school. PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE:
Bud is doing well, his back is perfectly healed with not
one bit of problem or trauma to the scarred area where the tumor was removed. He's back on the job doing his "usual" job in his "usual" way. Praise the Lord!
My SD is going this Tuesday (Jan 6) to ST. Louis for a second opinion...she'll know more about the extent of her treatments then. Thanks for keeping her in your prayers...
My eldest son and his wife are celebrating their 3rd year of "bliss" this Tuesday (Jan. 6). Since they live only 40 miles away, we are able to connect at least weekly and talk on the phone even more often than that...it has been a TOTAL answer to prayer! I am grateful!
My youngest son will be finishing up his time at Rend Lake (a community college) and is seeking God's discernment as to whether to seek a discipleship internship (for a year or two) or go directly to the 4 year to finish up his degree in Media/Communications. He can get training to do all three at the internship. He believes the discipline gleened from there would serve him well later at the 4 year...however, this is a private school withno possibility of scholarship, he'll have to raise his support.
As for ME, at the moment, I'm battling the flu. I can't get warm and I (as winnie the pooh noted) feel all "rumbly in the tumbly." I'll be going back to seminary Jan. 12... trusting God for the money to miraculously "be there" when it's needed. I have only 2 semesters to go! YAY!
I'm looking SO FORWARD to my profession this June in Chicago. The fam will be coming with me (as will possibly others) to support me in this momentous occasion. I'm still contemplating the elusive Juniper Cup "feat" for the
year...
Christmas was very VERY hard without my mom...I had several evenings of anger, sadness and total melancholy. I am, though, day by day, finding ways to cope and put her death in perspective. It's not easy, but it MUST be done...
Thank you ALL so very much for every single prayer, regardless how brief, sent up on behalf of me and my family. We are truly grateful.

My Spiritual Director of 5+ years, has breast cancer and is having to undergo radiation and chemotherapy treatments. She is going to a specialist a for a second opinion...please pray that the Lord will hold her close during this difficult and frightening time. Also please pray that God will help me to find another SD in my area. This Sister is not only one-in-a-million as far as personality and
spirituality go, there are just very few folks in my immediate area who even KNOW what being a Spiritual Director means.
She has been like a spiritual mom to me...losing two "moms" in one year would be a really tough thing to get through...although I know God's grace is always sufficient.
