communication around the world
so much easier! |
Our e-mail discussion list, OEF-L, has been described as a "virtual living room" for members and friends of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans. It is a lively place, with conversations of all sorts, ranging from serious to ridiculous. You will see prayer requests, tidbits of news, discussions about Franciscan life, political reflections, etc. You are welcome to join the list and use this forum as a means of learning more about us and building community. Members of other orders are always welcome.
Please be aware that the list is an open list. Many of the list subscribers are not members of the OEF, but are seeking, learning, discerning whether or not to explore a vocation with the Order. Others are simply friends who enjoy journeying with us in this way. Many of these folks actively participate in the discussions and are quite "at home" on the list.
We welcome such participation, but a consequence is that what you read on the list is not always an accurate reflection of who we are as a community. In addition, as with many discussion lists, sometimes the conversations become a bit energetic around certain subjects about which people are passionate. Therefore, please bear in mind that opinions expressed on the list are those of the author only, and do not necessarily reflect the perspective of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans as a whole. For clarification of the OEF's position on a particular subject, please contact your Formation Counselor or one of the Servants of the Order. Servant e-mail addresses are available on this website.
The subscription method for the list is web-based. Once you subscribe, you will receive a message with instructions for managing your subscription. The message contains a password. Hold onto it -- you will need it for any changes to your subscription, including unsubscribing if you later decide to do so.
To subscribe to OEF-L click here. You can also use this page to manage your account after you join the list.
