LET US PRAY

Know what is the hope to which God has called you, what are the riches of the glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of Gods power in us who believe (Eph. 1:18-19)

Canticle 16. The Song of Zechariah

Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel;
You have come to your people and set them free
You have raised up for us a mighty savior
Born of the house of your servant David
Through your holy prophets you promised of old
That you would save us from our enemies
From the hand of all who hate us
You promised to show mercy to our forebears
And to remember your holy covenant
This was the oath that you swore to Abraham and Sarah
To set us free from the hands of our enemies
Free to worship you without fear
Holy and righteous in your sight all the days of our life
This child shall be call the prophet of the Most High
For he will go before the Lord to prepare his way
To give the people knowledge of salvation
By the forgiveness of their sins

Let us lift in our prayers the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans

Let us pray for our servant team, especially our minister general Nancy

Let us pray for all the professed members and all who journey and are called to walk along with us

Let us pray for all Franciscans throughout the world

Let us pray for all who work for justice, peace and the integrity of creation

Let us lift in prayer Bro Craig Robert and Sr. Katie, our JPIC co-animators

Let us pray especially today for all who have died and all who grieve their loss

Let us pray for all who work in hospice and all who are helping those who are dying without the benefit of hospice care.

Let us lift up especially our siblings Thomas, Phil and Nancy who minister at hospice

Let us pray for ourselves and each other today and all peoples who right now are sitting in payer, in silence and solitude

Lord, in your most compassionate mercy, hear our prayers

Our Father….

Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord. Give us the grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen
