Wednesday Morning - 2/29/2012 - With The Poor Pray-ers 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Some of us (Poor Pray-ers) endeavor to "meet" together in prayer every Wednesday morning between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Some make themselves available to God during this time for the full hour, others may only be able to devote the last 15 minutes (7:15-7:30 a.m.) as the time zone they live in would require that they get up much earlier than they can. Please join us, if you can, in "real time" (or pray with us in the now of eternity). If, however, you can no longer participate for practical reasons, please let me know and we can reconsider this particular day and time of prayer. I (Brother Carlo) pray every morning around this time anyway, so God will be hearing my prayers, but if this time of devotion is no longer necessary or useful to us, please let me know. I have no email access at home, so finding time to offer prayers (through a posting in this Chapel) on our behalf for this particular time slot is not convenient for me. Yet if Poor Pray-ers sense that we need to continue together in synch, I will persevere for the time being. Please let me know. In Christ name. Amen.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we pray for ourselves and on behalf of others:

O most loving Jesus, I thank you, for through Mary our Holy Mother, all I am and all I have is yours.

We offer you these, our brothers and sisters, for your blessing. May God's Shalom be upon us all:

David Resenberger
Luis Rivera-Rivera
Juniper Robertson
James Jacobus Schwarzlose
Antonly Scuderi
Brendan Shaffer
Owusu Slater
Toni Smith
Alyssa Clare Magdalena Stebbin
Colin Thomas Stebbing.

O Lord, we need the wholeness of your Peace. Let our body, soul and spirit become be healed through your Presence as we become naked of heart before You. So let it be, in Jesus's name. Amen.

Br Carlo:
Thank you for your time to lead us in this prayer. I also spend time each morning in prayer and have no objection to your posting something at a more comfortable time or day. What I cherish about the posting is that for at least one day --we, the poor prayers, are praying the exact same prayer. --for me that seems so powerful and feels like we are truly sitting together. However if it feels too burdensome to continue with the posting I do understand.

peace
Lorraine

I'm adaptable. Totally not wedded to the particular day. All weekday mornings are pretty much the same to me - just tell me when to meet you all and I will happily.

Dear Lorraine and Alison:

Beyond your replies there does not seem to be any views opposing a change of day (and maybe of time slot). I will endeavor to post on behalf of Poor Pray-ers on Thursday morning and let us try to meet in prayer on Thursday evenings between 7 and 8 p.m. I will dedicate this time to our prayer, but I will recommend interested pray-ers who cannot devote the whole hour aim for the half-hour between 7:15 and 7:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. If this time is unsuitable, it is possible to change it. Let's see if it works for us and others. So expect some related prayer to be posted on Thursday morning for our Thursday evening together. With love, Brother Carlo.
