First OEF Ireland gathering
6-7 October 2006

Br. Craig Robert reports on the first OEF gathering in Ireland:

"I'm sending you a couple of photos from Linda's and my recent trip to Ireland. Perhaps they could go up on the OEF website. While in Kenmare where we rented a townhouse for the duration of our stay, we had the wonderful privilege of hosting two visitors overnight. None other than Bro. Colin and hopefully soon to be officially an OEFer, Paddy Delaney. It was a wonderful visit with much sharing, evening prayer and morning Eucharist. Damien was unable to join us, but perhaps next year. "

Br. David visitor to TSSF Chapter
15 October 2006

Br. David Delacroix, OEF, our Minister General, represented the Order at the annual Chapter of the Third Order, Society of Saint Francis, Province of the Americas. The meeting was held at Little Portion Friary at Mount Sinai, NY.

David reports: "It was a wonderfully enriching, healing retreat for me as well as a good opportunity for discussion about common issues faced by OEF and TSSF. I have brought back inspiration, burdens, and ideas we might discuss and some to implement in order to assist in our own development as a community. The food and fellowship was terrific, to say the least."

He offers the following two photos. The first, one of himself with Ken Norian, TSSF, Minister Provincial of the Third Order, modeling "the new habits" for Franciscan ministers.

The second, "a shot of one of the images of Francis I think evokes some of the spirit of the place."

A confession from Br. Colin
3 October 2006

One wonders about receiving certain things on the eve of the Feast of St. Francis. Is it a providential or prophetic word? Or is it a psychotic moment? What is being revealed to us through this communication?

So, here's the latest word from the Anglo-Irish fellowship of the OEF:

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Is it a sin to covet? I saw this vehicle and quite frankly, I want it.

First UK member makes novice vows
19 February 2006

The reception of Br. Colin Stebbing into the Order was finalized Sunday morning as he made his novice vows at The Oratory of Our Lady of The Star Light at Apperley, Gloucestershire. The Reverend Chris Parker received Colin's vows on behalf of the Order.

Pray for vocations and for the founding of the OEF in the UK and elsewhere, as the international inquiries continue. Pray that this little Order may bear authentic witness to the Franciscan charism and to the work of ecumenism around the world.
